
The Mission Hills Community Services District currently provides water and wastewater service to approximately 1,200 connections. Depending upon land use control and political decisions concerning future development, it is possible that approximately 600 additional connections could occur.
The District was formed pursuant to California Government Code Section 61000, et seq. It was incorporated November 29, 1979, following formation by voter approval on November 6, 1979. The area known as Mission Hills was built starting in 1959. It consists of approximately 700 homes, 3 churches, a shopping center with nine (9) shops, and an elementary school. The area known as Mesa Oaks was built starting in 1967. It consists of approximately 500 homes.
The District currently operates 26 miles of water distribution system, two groundwater wells, two 800,000 gallon tank reservoirs, and a pressure filter treatment system.
The District also operates 26 miles of wastewater collection system, with one pumping lift station, and a wastewater treatment plant.
The mechanical/electrical and control systems for the water system are currently being renewed with modern, reliable, state-of-the art systems. The basic water distribution and sewer collection systems infrastructure are in excellent condition.
